This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices of Melliam Corporation (“Melliam,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the BusinessConnect 100 Challenge and the website at businessconnect.marketing (the “Site”). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, the choices available to you, and how we protect it. By using the Site or enrolling in the BusinessConnect 100 Challenge, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

This Policy applies to information collected through the Site and through the BusinessConnect 100 Challenge enrollment and communications. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of any third-party service we use to deliver the program (such as payment processors or the travel-voucher fulfillment provider), each of which maintains its own privacy policy.

Consent to be contacted. By submitting your contact details on the Site, an enrollment form, or a call-tracking line, you expressly consent to and request that Melliam Corporation and the BusinessConnect Network contact you at the telephone number(s) and email address you provide — including by automated telephone dialing system, pre-recorded or artificial voice message, SMS or text message, and electronic mail — regarding the BusinessConnect 100 Challenge and your travel and program interests.

This consent is not a condition of purchase. You may withdraw it at any time (see “Your Choices and Rights” below). Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to any text message to opt out of SMS.

Information you give us. We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you enroll in the BusinessConnect 100 Challenge, submit a form, request a travel voucher, or otherwise contact us. This typically includes your name, business name, email address, telephone number, city or region, business type, and the billing information needed to process the $17 enrollment payment.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. At the time of purchase we also record your IP address and electronic acceptance (timestamp) as a record of your agreement to our terms.

We do not knowingly collect information from minors. The BusinessConnect 100 Challenge is intended for business operators. The Site and the program are not directed to individuals under the age of majority in their province or state.

Melliam Corporation is based in Quebec, Canada. The BusinessConnect 100 Challenge serves participants in both Canada and the United States, and some of our service providers are located in the United States or other countries. As a result, your information may be stored or processed outside your province or country, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. By using the Site and enrolling in the program, you acknowledge this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that information transferred to service providers is given a comparable level of protection.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, and out of marketing texts by replying STOP. Withdrawing marketing consent will not affect service messages we need to send you about your enrollment or voucher.

Quebec residents: Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), you have rights of access, rectification, and withdrawal of consent, and the right to be informed of how your information is used. Melliam Corporation’s Privacy Officer is responsible for the protection of personal information and can be reached using the contact details in Section 9.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, both online and offline. Sensitive information such as payment card data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard methods; you can confirm a secure connection by looking for “https” and the lock icon in your browser. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored in full on our systems.

Internally, access to personally identifiable information is limited to those who need it to perform a specific job, such as billing or customer service, and the systems on which we store personal information are kept in a controlled environment. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to administer your enrollment, support any travel voucher, meet tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
